Anglophone Crisis: Pastor Urges Youths to Disarm Both Camps Spiritually

The Cameroon Baptist Convention Soppo Field Pastor, Reverend Timothy Liombe, has called on youths of the Field to embark on the spiritual disarmament of different camps contributing to flaming the deepening Anglophone Crisis that is inducing untold suffering to the people of the North West and South West regions of the Country.

This call was made, February 16, 2019 during the Soppo Field Praise & Worship Festival that took place at Praise Baptist Church Ndong in Buea, under the theme: Earthly Praise & Worship Attract Divine Intervention.

Conscious of the role of satanic forces in propagating strife, the spiritual leader of the Soppo Field Council of Churches, implored the youths to “stay fast to the Lord”, and use prayers and the word of God to disarm “both camps” spiritually for lasting peace to return to Cameroon.  With the incessant arrest and detention, he counselled the young men and women of the Soppo Field to express their worries and anger to God and not man, because it could be misconstrued and may land them in undesired situations and places. The youths were also advised to move with their national identity cards wherever they go, “even to the toilet.”

Rev. Liombe used the Worship and Praise Festival to announce a crusade, which the Soppo Field will be organizing in the months ahead aimed at winning back more youths to Christ in the face of the deepening Anglophone Crisis. “We will be embarking on a radical move to win back our young boys and girls through the Operation Andrew City Wide Crusade,” the Soppo Field boss hinted. The Man of God added that Cameroon is entering a new dawn and the church has a great role to play.
