Over FCFA 3 billion Agreement Signed to Sustainably Manage Forest Resources in Congo Basin

The French Development Agency and the Network of Training Institutions in the Forestry and Environmental Sectors in the Central Africa Region have signed a five-year partnership agreement to the tone of FCFA 3billion to support the training of stakeholders in the forestry sector.

The partnership agreement was signed in Yaounde, February 3, 2020,  by the Director of the French Development Agency to Cameroon, Benoit Lebeurre, and the Coordinator of Network of Training Institutions, Dr Claude Kachaka Sudi, in the presence of the French Ambassador to Cameroon, Christophe Guilhou. The project that will bring together Cameroon, Congo, Gabon and DRC, seeks to reinforce the sustainable management of forest resources in the Congo Basin.
